• Student groups: Campus involvement is an important aspect of student life. Getting involved in a student group or another organization is a great way for students to meet friends with mutual interests, boost a resume, and get leadership experience. With over 200 student groups at RIT, students should have no problems finding one that fits their interests!
• Campus dining: RIT’s food service program administers several cafeteria dining options around campus and can accommodate many different dietary requirements such as vegetarian, Halal and Kosher.
• Student supports: The staff at RIT’s International Student Services Office (ISS) provide a solid foundation for RIT’s commitment to international education, assisting individuals from more than 100 countries. They advise students, faculty, clubs and departments on immigration, cultural, academic and personal matters. All RIT students also have access to faculty and academic advisors, Academic Support to help them succeed in their program, and one of the largest Offices of Career Services and Co-operative Education in the United States.
• Athletics: Division I and III athletics teams and a variety of intermural sports, wellness and recreation classes, and exciting fan experiences–RIT athletics gets students in on the action. Be a part of a team or come cheer on the Tigers.
• On-campus housing: With a variety of on-campus living options and a network of support services, RIT Housing provides the best living environment for students who are in pursuit of successful college experiences where students can develop friendships, be inspired to work on creative projects, and engage in new experiences in a safe and residential atmosphere. It offers tailored housing solutions with a wide range of rent rates. These include single to multiple occupancy housing, residence halls, Greek housing, and apartment and suite-style options. Laundry, utilities, and all functional amenities are included. RIT housing contracts coincide with the academic year. Students leaving for co-op, research, or study abroad can rest assured that they can end their housing contract with no fee or subletting needed.
• Health Center: The RIT Student Health Center provides high-quality primary health care and education to students in a caring and supportive environment. Health Center staff approach health care from a holistic perspective. Recognizing that good health is an important component of a successful college experience, the Center strives to support students in illness prevention and developing healthy lifestyles.
