Founded in 1955 as a private not-for-profit institution in the State of New York, U.S.A., NYIT (New York Institute of Technology) has campuses in Manhattan, Long Island, the Middle East, China, and here in Vancouver, Canada. Following its long-term strategic plan for a global institution.

NYIT is designed to allow students to move among campuses with complete internal transferability of credits and thus to graduate with the same NYIT degree between New York Campuses and Vancouver. When you earn a master’s degree from NYIT-Vancouver, you will also become part of NYIT’s global institution. You can choose to start your program in Vancouver and complete it in New York.

Features

The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) allows students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable Canadian work experience.

Cooperative education (or co-operative education) and internships are methods of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience. A cooperative education experience (“co-op”), provides academic credit for structured job experience. Co-ops are full-time, paid or unpaid positions. Internships may be full-time or part-time, paid or unpaid positions.

Even if you do NOT meet our minimum English requirement (IELTS or TOEFL), you still can get conditionally accepted in the program of your choice with the condition of completing our English program prior to starting your chosen program. Conditional admission is permitted through ILSC Language Schools- Vancouver, students must submit a separate ESL application to ILSC Language Schools – Vancouver and complete their ESL program there. ILSC application will need to be submitted prior to the student’s academic application. Students must have an ESL Pathway Letter of Acceptance (LOA) or a Letter from Pathway school that shows level test results and the estimated length of the pathway program before applying to their desired academic program.

Students wishing to live off-campus need to research availability on their own, and should arrive well before the start of term to do so.
