North Island College – Business Administration

North Island College offers international students a Business Administration Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor of Business Administration options.

Laurentian University

However, there is an important detail for anyone planning to apply now: NAIT currently marks this program as not accepting applications. Therefore, it should not be presented as an immediately available international application option without confirming a future intake directly with NAIT.

How Do You Choose the Right Course?

Don’t choose a course simply because somebody called it “in demand.”

A course can be popular and still be completely wrong for you. Before applying, consider these five questions.

1. Does the course match your previous education?

Some postgraduate and post-degree programs require a previous degree or relevant academic background.

For example, Fanshawe’s Health Care Administration Management program is specifically designed for international graduate students with previous health sciences education or experience.

Douglas’ post-baccalaureate Computer and Information Systems program requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent.

2. What skills will you graduate with?

Look beyond the course title. Compare the actual curriculum.

For example, NAIT’s Cybersecurity program covers risk assessment, security strategies and digital systems, while its Data Analytics program focuses on analyzing data, visualization, and predictive insights.

3. Does the school provide practical experience?

Look for opportunities such as:

For example, Sheridan’s Software Development and Network Engineering program offers an optional co-op route, while Douglas offers optional co-operative education in its Computer and Information Systems post-baccalaureate program.

4. Is the program currently available to international students?

This is critical.

A program appearing on a school’s website does not automatically mean that international applications are open.

North Island College’s Health Care Assistant program, for example, is currently marked domestic applicants only, despite being a healthcare program.

Similarly, NAIT currently marks its Alternative Energy Technology program as not accepting applications.

5. Does the program make sense for your long-term plan?

Your course should fit into a larger plan involving:

Education. skills, career, professional requirements, and future opportunities.

For international students, immigration considerations should also be researched separately and based on the latest official government requirements, rather than assuming that every program automatically provides the same post-study options.
